With Karyn Turk boasting about her title at every turn, I decided to look into the Mrs. Florida pageant.
The first thing I found was that she was not, in fact, Mrs. Florida, 2016 through this Mrs. Florida America pageant, the most well known and established Mrs. Florida pageant.
If you Google “Mrs. Florida” it’s the Mrs. Florida America pageant that you find at the top of the search engine results. This Mrs. Florida is a pageant that has been going on since 1977. It has a long, prominent history.
So who was Mrs. Florida 2016?
Mrs. Florida 2016, is a woman by the name of Rachel Neudecker.
So what about Karyn Turk? Is she really Mrs. Florida or is she lying?
Technically, she is not lying. She competed in what is known as the “Mrs. Florida Continental” pageant, which is a much smaller, lesser-known pageant, which was established in 1995.
It is a legitimate pageant, however not as well known, or as large as the other Mrs. Florida pageant. I think just looking at the pictures of the winners, it’s clear to see the difference.
Rumor has it that in 2016 less than 15 girls competed for the crown of Mrs. Florida Continental. I don’t know if that is true, and my calls to the Mrs. Florida Continental pageant have gone unreturned. We’ve made several attempts to reach out to them to try and find out about the legitimacy of the program, but have not had any luck getting ahold of anyone.
